On February 19-20, 2019, the UK Department of International Trade organized a business mission in Manchester called "Innovative technologies for urban infrastructure" for representatives of Russian companies.
Mohamed Nasser, Commercial Director of the Metropolis company, joined the delegation. The purpose of the trip is to get acquainted with advanced technologies and the unique expertise of leading British companies and developers in the field of sustainable urban planning, green building, smart building management systems, energy efficiency solutions and the digital economy.
Manchester was the only UK city involved in the mission. The delegates visited the University of Manchester, Manchester City Council and a number of companies specializing in the development and implementation of innovative technologies for urban systems: Qbots Energy, Asset Mapping, MYAA, AFL Architects, Bruntwood, Tyndall Centre, High Voltage Lab, Tensar and others.
