Metropolis took part in the work of the All-Russian Forum "IT Solutions in Design", organized by the Research and Production Alliance RUBEZH.

On July 19-20, the first All-Russian Forum "IT Solutions in Design" was held in Saratov. The organizers formulated the key idea of the forum as "Developing the capabilities of design engineers through the strengthening of IT tools in design technologies."

The purpose of the forum is to formulate a generalized opinion of the industry community on topics such as the use of the latest IT technologies to improve the efficiency of design organizations, and the improvement of design process management technologies.

One of the days of the forum was devoted to an overview of the competencies and practices of applying BIM modeling in Russia. Presentations were made by representatives of the companies and organizations that have already implemented information modeling and 3D design tools.

Among the speeches, the report of Svetlana Parkhomenko, head of the BIM-technologies department of Metropolis, aroused great interest of the audience. She spoke on the topic “Features of using information modeling tools in the design of low-voltage systems” (standard and special tools on the Revit platform for solving low-voltage systems, features of creating fire protection equipment on the Revit platform).

The forum was also attended by Oleg Chubko, head of the low-voltage systems department at Metropolis. He noted that at the forum there was an active exchange of practical experience between leading project groups and companies.

The forum "IT Solutions in Design" is included in the program of anniversary events of RUBEZH. The Alliance celebrated its 30th anniversary under the motto "Evolution 3.0".

The forum participants were specialists from more than 50 companies and organizations, including PIK Group, RusHydro, Grazhdanproekt, Prikamprompoekt, Kavkazkurortproekt, Sevkavnipiagroprom, Kamstroyproekt.
