    Metropolis is the winner of the competition for the best security system projects

    At the end of 2023 the results of the Competition for the best security system projects were announced. The competition was organized by the Rubezh group of companies.

    The professional competition of designing security systems including BIM-technologies was established in 2023 as part of the 35th anniversary of the RUBEZH company. As part of the competition the organizers recognize the best specialists who carry out projects on various security systems and types of objects based on RUBEZH equipment.

    This year the jury received more than 100 applications, from which it selected finalists for six types of objects in the following categories:

    1. The most massive project;
    2. The best solution for organizing an anti-terrorist warning system;
    3. The largest number of elements in a BIM-model;
    4. The best comprehensive solution using RUBEZH equipment;
    5. The best technical solution using RUBEZH R3 equipment;
    6. The best technical solution using GLOBAL equipment;
    7. The best technical solution using SONAR equipment;
    8. The best technical solution using STRAZH equipment;
    9. The best technical solution using RVi equipment;
    10. Best project in CAD R-CAD;
    11. The best comprehensive fire automatic system solution;
    12. The best comprehensive solution for complex security system;
    13. The best detail of a BIM-model;
    14. The best automation of a BIM-model.

    Metropolis traditionally became the winner in the category «The largest number of elements in a BIM-model» for the project of the STONE Leninsky (administrative and business complex in Moscow). The project team, which dealt with the sections of Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Automation Systems, Fire Extinguishing Automation, Warning and Evacuation Systems in BIM, was represented by colleagues from the Kazan office: Pavel Ivanov, group leader of the Alarms and Communications, and Insaf Gabdrakhmanov, leading engineer. The winners were awarded diplomas and the main prize – a laptop.

    “In the Revit model of the project all elements of fire protection systems (fire detectors, annunciators, control modules and central equipment) were placed, and coordination of the designed elements of fire protection systems was carried out considering the interior design and common areas, as well as considering the location adjacent engineering systems of the building.

    The design technology itself in 3D models (BIM) offers great prospects in the future in terms of both the design of engineering systems and the subsequent operation of buildings,” - noted Sergey Grigoriev, head of the department.
