The Academy of Engineering Sciences named after A.M. Prokhorov, the Russian and International Unions of Scientific and Engineering Public Associations have summed up the results of the next XX All-Russian competition "Engineer of the Year 2019". Our colleagues - Alexander Lyubartsev, Dmitry Gorbik, Alexey Kushchenko, Sergey Bryuzgin, Denis Dubinin, Pavel Golovin - are the winners of the XX All-Russian competition "Engineer of the Year - 2019" in the category "Construction and Construction Industry". They were awarded the title "Professional Engineer of Russia".

President of Russia Vladimir Putin in his greeting to the winners of the XX All-Russian competition "Engineer of the Year - 2019" noted: "Our country is rightfully famous for a brilliant constellation of talented engineers, designers, inventors, production rationalizers. Their breakthrough discoveries and developments have become a powerful contribution to the development of domestic scientific and technical thoughts, strengthening the significant potential of key sectors of the domestic economy, industry, defense industry, in improving specialized education".

Traditionally, the summing up of the results of the All-Russian competition "Engineer of the Year" is timed to the Day of Russian Science (February 8). This year, the official ceremony of summing up the results of the XX All-Russian competition "Engineer of the Year" is also dedicated to the World Engineering Day, which, starting this year, according to UNESCO's decision, will be annually celebrated on March 4.

The jury and expert commissions of the 2019 competition include prominent Russian scientists, designers, engineers, and production organizers.

In general, at the preliminary stage, more than 70 thousand people from 57 regions of Russia took part in the competition. At the end of 2019, 244 participants were awarded with diplomas and commemorative medals "Competition Laureate" according to the "Professional Engineers" version.
