On October 16-17, Nizhny Novgorod hosted the XIII International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to solving problems of heat and mass transfer and strength. Organizer: Sarov Engineering Center.
Our colleagues - Daria Stroganova, Alexandra Mitkina, Andrey Kirsanov and Sergey Bryuzgin – became participants and speakers at the STAR Russian Conference. This event brings together leading Russian experts in the field of engineering analysis to study the latest developments in the field of engineering modeling and discuss ways to solve production problems, reduce product costs and introduce innovations.
STAR Russian Conference is a platform for exchanging experience with industry colleagues and an opportunity to meet with developers of STAR-CCM+, STAR-CD software systems.
Summing up the results of participation in the conference, our experts noted that the topic of using CFD modeling in the field of predicting microclimate parameters is of interest to a wide range of specialists (both engineers and potential customers of services). The report of our specialists on the topic “Using the Simcenter STAR-CCM+ software package to solve design problems related to maintaining a normalized temperature regime in a room” aroused interest comparable to reports on shipbuilding and engine building (areas in which the STAR-CCM+ complex has been used historically). During business meetings with specialists, issues related to the methodology for performing not only CFD modeling, but also the methodology for performing design work adopted by Metropolis were also noted.
