    Skating rink of Moskomsport

The indoor skating rink of the KP "SK OD-80" Moskomsport at the address Moscow, Michurinsky Prospect, Olympic Village, 2 was built as part of the holistic reconstruction of the sports complex "Olympic Village-80".

The complex is intended for hockey training sessions and regional competitions. The rink building houses an ice field, stands for 284 seats, training ice fields, gyms. An administrative building adjoins the ice rink hall, which includes changing rooms, wardrobes for athletes and spectators, training and gyms, a buffet, premises for staff and administration, technical rooms.

Acting as the General Designer at the facility, Metropolis also acted as the author of architectural solutions. The facades of the building are designed in the same scale as the main building of the complex and are in tune with the functional purpose of the ice rink. The main color of the facade is white, which symbolizes the theme of ice and snow. The plasticity of the facades is accentuated by metal lamellas creating a graphical three-dimensional pattern, perforated panels, decorative silhouettes with contour illumination separated from the plane of the facade.

Metropolis' scope of work also included collection of initial data, obtaining technical specifications for power supply organizations, conducting geotechnical and environmental engineering surveys and developing all sections of project documentation.

In 2017, the project became a finalist in the BIM technology competition organized by the Russian Ministry of Construction.
