On April 11, as part of the IV construction forum and exhibition «Industry 4.0. Construction» a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the 1st National Award «Director of the Year for Design in the Construction Complex» took place.

The award ceremony was held in 15 categories: housing, transport and urban environment, social facilities, industry and trade, as well as in special categories: best design solution, best IT solution, project and person of the year according to experts.

The Metropolis company supported the event, which was held for the first time, by acting as a partner of the business program and award. Commercial director and co-founder of the Metropolis company, Mohamed Nasser, visited the National Award as a member of the jury in the «Social Facilities, Industry and Trade» category in the «Design of Social Facilities» nomination, and also took part in awarding the laureates.

The event brought together guests from 35 regions of Russia and more than 70 largest organizations in the construction industry. The award ceremony was opened by Elena Zvonareva, Advisor to the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, Deputy Head of the Russian Competence Center for Digital Transformation of the Construction Industry. She noted the importance and high role of designers and engineers in the construction industry as the locomotive of the national economy.

1. Denis Belyuk, Deputy General Director for Design of the «Single Customer in the Construction Industry»
2. Dmitry Popov, founder and managing partner of Item Project
3. Alexander Lutsenko, General Director of KTB Project
4. Vladimir Khlopuk, Director of the Design Department, Granel Group of Companies
5. Konstantin Shchukin, design director at Pridex Construction.
