The multipurpose sports and entertainment complex "VTB Arena" was built as part of the general restoration of the Big Sports Arena and other sports facilities on the territory of the legendary Russian stadium "Dynamo", the history of which keeps many great victories.

The design took into account the standards for holding not only football competitions, but also the NBA (basketball), IIHF (hockey), ITF (tennis) championships, as well as concert and entertainment events. VTB Arena became a part of the multifunctional city complex VTB Arena Park. This is a unique example of the integrated development of a large-scale territory. The sports complex, which includes a football stadium with 26,000 seats and an ice arena for 12,000 spectators, is adjacent to a training ice complex, a hotel, a business district, residential buildings, a shopping center and a landscaped park. All conditions have been created for a harmonious and comfortable life, human development and rest.
