Metropolis company has developed a concept for a unique premium hotel complex on the coast of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The project is a harmonious symbiosis of modern hospitality and the inspiring natural landscapes of the Arabian Desert and the Arabian Gulf.

Architectural concept: an oasis born of sand waves

The key idea of Metropolis is to create architecture that grows organically from the environment. The main building of the hotel (7 000 m²), designed for 80 spacious rooms (60 m² each), is inspired by majestic sand dunes. Its dynamic forms literally grow out of the landscape, repeating the smooth curves of the dune, its clear crest and widened base.

The hotel villas, scattered around the area and located both on the shore and directly on the water, found their prototype in the tumbleweed. Their rounded, light outlines create a feeling of naturalness and freedom, characteristic of this desert plant.

Functional zoning and landscape

Main hotel. Most of the rooms are oriented towards the breathtaking sea views, ensuring maximum comfort for guests.

Water villas. An exclusive offer for those who want to merge with the sea element – swimming is possible right from the room.

Pools and recreation areas. Pools surrounded by greenery with sun loungers create oases of coolness and relaxation.

Multifunctional pavilions. Organically integrated into the landscape, these structures provide service to guests without disturbing the unity of the natural picture.

Landscape design: wind patterns on sand

The landscaping lines designed by the Metropolis team are inspired by the patterns that the wind leaves on the sand. This creates smooth, flowing transitions between zones, emphasizing the naturalness and unity of the complex with the desert-sea landscape of Ras Al Khaimah.
