    The facility fully justifies its name as a multifunctional complex, as it is a sports arena for competitions, an auditorium for various shows and a sports complex for the whole family, where adults and children can find activities to their liking.

    The facility has all the necessary functions:

    1. catering establishments (cafes and restaurants, buffets);
    2. gyms, choreography halls, relaxation halls, basketball hall, paddle tennis hall, martial arts and boxing area, hockey throwing hall;
    3. large number of modern and comfortable changing rooms for each group of sports facilities;
    4. make-up and costume rooms for artists, as well as storage rooms;
    5. administrative offices;
    6. classrooms and high-comfort areas;
    7. recreation rooms for athletes with the necessary infrastructure;
    8. laundry;
    9. multifunctional hall where conferences and events can be held;
    10. technical and technological rooms, control rooms.

    Thanks to high-quality spatial planning solutions, all these functions are compactly placed in a building with an area of just over 20,000 m2.

    As the general designer, the Metropolis team carried out the work at the following stages: Concept, Project documentation, Working Documentation and Author's Supervision..

    The overall appearance of the facility is impressive, the architectural concept of which was developed by UNK architects and which will soon be complemented by a sculpture of a figure skater. The refined entrance group continues with interesting design solutions for all rooms and spaces. Another highlight of the entrance group is the installation of projectors that create an atmosphere for future shows at the entrance.

    An important task was to create comfort for the audience in the main arena, for this purpose separate calculations and ventilation solutions were performed, when for the first time a separate climate calculation was carried out for such facilities in case the sides around the ice field were excluded in order to cut off the flow of cold air towards the audience. The auditorium was additionally decorated with effective and aesthetic acoustic materials.

    Our colleagues were able to evaluate all the features of the implemented project during the guided tour dedicated to the commissioning of the facility. The team that worked on the Ice Palace was pleased to see the results of their work.

    "When you see how everything is done, you immediately want to work more," Olga Galanina, chief architect of the Metropolis projects, expresses her emotions from the tour.

    We wish the facility success: share many small and big victories of athletes, first of all over themselves; bright and creepy shows, as well as comfortable work for all the complex's maintenance services!
