    Days of Great Britain in Moscow

    On October 9, 2018, a seminar on how to make smart cities sustainable and energy efficient was held at VDNKh with the support of the Department of International Trade of Great Britain within the framework of the series of events "Days of Great Britain in Moscow".


    Representatives of British business and developers of innovative solutions shared their experience in urban planning and the creation of green infrastructure, technologies to develop urban resilience strategies and new transport mobility, relocation infrastructure, and climate-friendly building design.


    The seminar was opened by a presentation by John Lindfield, Director of the UK International Trade Department. Speakers at the event were representatives of such British companies as ARUP, AECOM, Scott Brownrigg, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, TATA Steel, UCCR, Orange, NISSAN, JLR, Thales, Silent Sensors. The topics of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and energy saving for large cities were of a particular interest.


    The delegates from the Metropolis company at the seminar were: Alexander Pronin, Head of Architectural department, Ksenia Pashkevich, Leading Architect, Evgeny Skripka, Head of Water Supply, Sewerage and Fire Extinguishing department, and Oleg Chubko, Head of Low-voltage Systems department.
