Skolkovo Innovation Centre, Market Quarter
As part of the Innovation Centre Skolkovo project, Metropolis specialists were involved in development of a Scheme design and Project documentation for the Market Quarter project, which was implemented in conjunction with the Dutch architectural bureau Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA).
The Market Quarter is located in the central area of Skolkovo Innovation centre adjacent to Hypercube and a large park area. The Quarter consists of a City Hall, Cultural centre, service facilities such as a market, trading and public catering facilities.
The City Hall is a gem of the Market Quarter. This administrative building is intended for locating state authorities and the city administration, as well as the multifunctional centre for provision of state services.
The Cultural centre includes a transformable mixed-use hall, a Black Box hall, a hall for municipal receptions, an exhibition space, a media library, studios and art workshops, administrative and storage spaces, public catering facilities.
Support to a foreign designer and adaptation of design solutions in compliance with Russian norms;
Development of Scheme design and Project documentation;
General designer's functions.
Land plot layout;
Structural and space-planning solutions;
Engineering equipment, utilities, list of engineering and technical measures:
Construction management plan;
List of measures for environmental protection;
Fire safety provisions, including development of Special Technical conditions for Emergency situations;
Disabled access provisions;
Requirements for safe operation of capital construction facilities;
Cost estimate for capital construction facilities;
Development of a model for LEED.
